You have two ways to run PcMars in PcMars Cloud. One is PcMars Cloud Web Access. The other is PcMars Cloud Web Client. PcMars Cloud Web Access allows you to print directly from PcMars to your printer as well as greater control over where you can back up and restore sets of books. This involves some setup to work. PcMars Cloud Web Client has no setup and runs entirely in your browser. It cannot print directly to your printer instead printing to a .pdf file that is automatically downloaded to your computer. PcMars Web Access

PcMars Web Access is a version of Microsoft's Remote Desktop that allows you to run PcMars on your computer. It allows you to print directly to printers connected to your computer or on your local network. Your hard drives are remoted into PcMars and you can easily backup and restore set of books to your computer.

PcMars Web Access FAQ

You need to download a .rdp file. On the pcmars.com website in the menu select "PcMars Cloud" and then "Download PcMars Cloud Web Access .rdp file". Or click the following link Download PcMars Web Access .rdp file Log in with the username you created when you purchased your PcMars Cloud subscription. Your username will be YOUR_USERNAME@pcmars.local with YOUR_USERNAME replaced with your username. Enter your password and click the "Sign in" button. Click the PcMars icon to download the .rdp file. Now that you have downloaded the .rdp file you will not have to download it again unless you delete it.

On Windows you can double click the .rdp file to run PcMars.

On Macs do the following:

Install Microsoft Remote Desktop from the App store.
Run Microsoft Remote Desktop.
In the Menu select Connections->Import from RDP file...
Select the .rdp file you downloaded.
Click the Import button.
Double click the image titled "cpub-Pcmars-Pcmars-CmsRdsh".
Enter your username and password.
Click the the Continue button.
When prompted with "Do you want to continue?" click the Continue button.

PcMars Web Client

PcMars Web Client is a way to run PcMars inside of your browser. No other software is needed on your computer.

On the pcmars.com website in the menu select "PcMars Cloud" and then "Start PcMars Cloud Web Client". Or click the following link Start PcMars Cloud To log into PcMars Cloud you will need to enter your username and password you entered when you purchased your PcMars Cloud subscription. The first time you start PcMars Cloud you will be prompted to set up 2 factor authentication (2FA). All subsequent times you will login with your username and password and when prompted, select the 2FA you setup to finish logging in. After you are logged in the menu in the upper left will say "All Resources" and under "Work Resources" there will be PcMars. Click on the PcMars icon to start PcMars. A dialog will display titled "Access local resources". If you want to print from PcMars make sure that "Printer" is checked. If you want to upload a back up set of books or download a back up set of books make sure that "File transfer" is checked. Then click the "Allow" button. After some configuration is done, PcMars will be running. The first time you run PcMars you will be prompted to enter your registration information. After that you can create a new set of books or upload a back up set of books and start using PcMars in PcMars Cloud.

In the menu in PcMars select File->Backup Set(s) of Books. Select the set of books to back up. Click the "Zip backup" button. You will be prompted with a dialog saying "Are you sure you want to download 1 file(s)?". Click the Confirm button. The backed up set of books will be downloaded to your browser's download folder. If you are not prompted with the dialog go back and select the set of books you want to back up and click the "Zip backup" button.

On any window in PcMars that has a Print button, click the Print button. Reports, checks, deposits, and vendors can be printed from PcMars.
The Selected Printer will be Remote Desktop Virtual Printer.
After making your selections on the options dialog click the OK button.
A .pdf of your printout is downloaded to your browser's downloads directory. You can now print that .pdf file to your printer.
